I know we’ve all been through the stage of counting the calories of everything that we eat – looking longingly at desserts that we know would go straight to our arms, hips, waist, butt, and thighs – so we deprive ourselves, or if we can’t resist temptation, we feel so guilty after taking the last bite of that delicious chocolate cupcake topped with whipped cream and candy sprinkles.

Good news though F & F friends because your days of counting calories are over since Claylettes is now giving us desserts that do not have calories at all! “How can that be possible?!?!” you ask? That’s because they are made of clay and they were made not to be devoured but to be worn as wonderful accessories!

Claylettes make their trinkets out of polymer clay and they offer a wide range of designs which are all über fab if you ask me! Opening ceremony

8:00PM on 8-8-2008. Last Friday’s Opening Ceremony was one of the moments in this world when superlatives had no shot. Brilliant. Amazing. Jaw-dropping. Fantastic. Take your pick.

The first moments of the ceremony were signaled by the amazing rhythmic rumble of 2,008 percussion drums that produced a pulse-pounding start. The drums also turned into a giant set of cascading lights, shuffled from one end of the bird’s nest to the other, as a roaring crowd climbed to its feet. There was something primal yet elegant and powerful about the drums at the start.

The sheer number of human beings incorporated into the ceremony was staggering. The government put the tally at more than 10,000, and it didn’t appear to be an exaggeration.

But the array of costumes and props was like nothing an Olympics has ever seen. The sets produced were unending, from a titanic scroll to an undulating stadium floor that produced Chinese symbols to a planet that rose from beneath the stadium deck – the sets took you through a 5,000-year time capsule of China’s history. And the costume designs (there were over 15,000 costumes used) were flawless, vivid and colorful, whether it was the thousands of ancient robes or space-age suits that contained countless flickering bulbs.

The lighting of the torch really grabbed me. Beijing set a mind-bending standard that defied belief. I bet that nobody in the building could have guessed what ultimately happened! Let’s all enjoy and watch 2 weeks worth of the Games and hope that the Philippines will take home a medal! Mabuhay!

She wanted to bring the relaxing feeling of her favorite past time to those of us who share her love for the beach and the many treasures it holds.

Laura Mercier. Deviating from the other two designers’ “beach-y idea”, Laura decided to fill her flip flops with kisses showcasing her summer lipstick shades. This is actually my personal favorite since I don’t have to be in the beach to wear this one, and the colors will go well with any outfit. Aside from that, the design is fun, fab, and flirty!

These limited edition pairs will not only beautify you on the outside but also in the inside because all proceeds will go to Charity Water. So what are you waiting for? Grab a pair or grab the whole lot of ‘em before stocks run out!

Dear Fab and Furious Friends,

What’s up??

Guess what, our blog is now 2 months old! Hooray for us!

It’s true when they say that time flies when you are happy with what you are doing, and we can definitely say that both of us are having the time of our lives! Not only are we making ourselves happy, but other people as well. We sincerely hope that you enjoy visiting us as much as we enjoy writing all these articles for you.

By the way, we’re nearing our 100th entry mark and we are planning to have a contest to give back to our fantastic friends! We’ll be giving away fab prizes so keep on coming back to check for any updates about it. We promise to keep you posted!

Good news techies! Sony has just unveiled two new Cybershot cameras in its cool T series lineup, namely the DSC-T77 and DSC-T700.

DSC-T77

The Sony DSC-T77 is the world’s thinnest digital camera with optical image stabilization. It is only 13.9mm thin featuring a stainless steel sliding lens cover.

Other features of the new Sony DSC-T77 include 10.2MP resolution, Carl Zeiss Barrio TESSA lens with 4x optical zoom, 3 inch screen, ISO3200 max. sensitivity, Sony’s Smile Shutter technology, 15MB internal memory, and HD AV output.

In addition to those impressive features, Sony’s has made some nice tweaks to some of the modes like the smile recognition mode that allows it to continue to take photo after photo when it detects smiles without you ever hitting the shutter button. There’s blink recognition so you never get caught with your eyes closed, a new gourmet mode for shooting your food, and intelligent scene mode selection, which will pick the appropriate mode for your subject.

Sony will ship the DSC-T77 in the colors black, silver, green, PINK (for Fab hehe ), and brown starting on September 5th in Japan. Cool!

DSC-T700

T77’s sibling, the DSC-T700 features a larger 3.5 inch screen and 4GB of internal storage compared to the DSC-T77. Other features of the DSC-T700 are the same as the DSC-T77. With measurements of 95.0×58.4×15.2mm (16.4mm at the lens cover) the T700 is slightly bigger than the T77.

I remember when I was still in pre-school I made a book with illustrations on a pad of paper. The storyline was good (although I can’t remember exactly what it was about) but the drawings were…uhmm…let’s just say that they were not as great as the writing. It was always my dream to be an artist – I even tried painting odd shapes hoping that it would pass as abstract art! Hahaha! I guess I should just stick to dancing.

BUT (and that’s a big one) if I did have the knack for the arts, I would have produced masterpieces like these:

These stunning and absolutely fabulous depictions of women were made by a French artist named Sophie Griotto. I adore all her drawings because they scream glamour. She captures the essence of an independent, sophisticated, and modern woman on all of her work don’t you think? I heart Sophie Griotto!
