The Apple iPad. The name is a killing word — more than a product — it’s a statement, an idea, and potentially a prime mover in the world of consumer electronics. The iPad is a tablet computer developed by Apple Inc. Announced on January 27, 2010, it is considered to be in a category between the smartphone and the laptop computer.
At its music-oriented press conference Wednesday morning in San Francisco, Apple played up iTunes 9, iPod price cuts, games for the Touch, a video camera, and much more.
If you said bath soaps then you’ve got it right, but you probably didn’t. Who would have thought that soaps could look like these! You have got to love how detailed they are. If all soaps were made like this, I bet no one would stink because everyone would take a bath every chance they get!
These fab soaps are made by twoeggplants and you can check out their site for more designs. Ciao! ♥
ShapeWriter Free is an amazing new iPhone application based on research that began in the late 1990’s at IBM. Its Almaden Research Center published the first rigorous mathematical optimization result of touch keyboard based on the Metropolis “random walk” algorithm — the same algorithm used by scientists to understand molecule structures.
Apple’s back at it again. The new iPhone 3GS hit the shelves in six countries. It debuted last week in North America and major European markets and will be launched in other countries through July and August.
Google announced that it will be pushing out an update for the Google application on the iPhone that lets users search with their voice rather than trying to use the on-screen keyboard. This voice search was likely made possible using the mounds of voice information they have been gathering with their 1-800-GOOG-411 service.
You can find the free Google application in the iPhone App Store. Once you’ve either installed this application for the first time, or had it updated, you are ready to start searching with your voice. Launch the application, put it to your ear, then speak your search query to give this feature a try. It’s unclear how accurately it will translate voices into the correct words, but it’s no secret that they have been working on this technology for a long time.
fring is a VoIP application that lets you use Skype, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ, Twitter, Yahoo!, and AIM clients to chat and instant message. Well, the good news is that fring is available now for free in the Apple App Store and can be loaded on your iPhone without any jailbreaking required.
fring will run on your iPhone or iPod Touch and works over the WiFi network. You can even make SkypeOut calls with fring so if you are traveling fring may be the application you want to make low cost and free calls on the road.
There are rumors that Apple might release a new product late this year in the US called the iTablet. Apple is going to leverage the more than 100 patents (like MultiTouch) that they’ve filed for iPhone in a larger screen device that borrows heavily from iPhone. Think of a larger, media playing, eBook reading iTablet with 3G, GPS, and Bluetooth. Now think of it in 6, 8 and 10-inch screen sizes. This is when things get interesting
It will run the full Mac OS X, have a slot loading SuperDrive, an “iPhone-type” GPS chip and an Intel Core Duo processor – presumably Intel’s Atom. An Apple tablet, preferably around 8-inch diagonal, 10-inch max, would be a Kindle-killer and the ultimate eBook reader. Its color display and slot-loading SuperDrive would also make the tablet a killer movie and music platform too. Mmm I think I’ll wait for this one
